love the ballgowns and tails of the Victorian and Ragtime Eras?Join a fun group of dancers who love Victorian and Ragtime dance! We'll teach you how to dance like they did between the 1860s and 1930s. We also teach a couple of styles of waltz as well as Victorian dances. Vintage Dance refers to dancing of the 1860s to the 1930s. It includes country dances and quadrilles, which are taught and called like contra dances. Vintage Dance also includes couple dances such as Victorian Waltz, Polka, Schottische, and Mazurka, as well as Ragtime One-Step, Foxtrot, Tango, Blues and Charleston. Additionally, TVD promotes Cross-Step Waltz, that originated in the 1930s. No partner required!
